Myers Marine maintains one DeepVision DeepEye 680 Digital (DE680D) side scan sonar in our equipment inventory. The DeepEye is a medium sized towed side scan sonar system. It takes full advantage of the powerful DeepVision DSSP hardware, using state of the art CHIRP technology to capture crystal side scan sonar images. Its small size makes it highly portable for operating on vessels of opportunity.
The DE680D, 680 kHz is optimized for high resolution. The higher frequency not only makes the DE680D perfect for surveys that need high resolution such as infrastructure or archaeological surveys, but also for soft targets such as biological assessments.
